I have an 89 f250 wit 5.8 that vapor locks in hot weather. Motor is not getting to hot and oly does it a few time. Fuel pressure is good. Once it cools awhile it fires back up and run fine for a months

could be the fuel cap.....try driving with cap off and see if it happens or replace fuel cap...
