1989 ford f150 lariat 4x4 intake valve not closing properly how can i check this without taking off parts

will run but has no power on take off spits and sputters while idleing rev the rpms and it
smooths out a little please help!

How do you know it is an intake valve not closing? Did you check the resistance on the coil, both primary and secondary and the resistance of the plug wires?

If you are sure it is a valve, do a compression check on each cylinder.
