Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1989 f150 and my electronic fuel pump has just started to run constantly. I unplugged it and it shut off, however when I started the truck and shut it off again it continued to run. It is also causing the pump in the tank to run. The truck has duel tanks and it does not matter which tank I switch to, that in-tank pump will run. What causes this and how to fix it would be great.

BAM.... spot on answer. However wasn't the points being pitted it was that over time the clip that holds it in had become loose and caused it to not make proper contact. Thank You very much. Easy $12 fix!
