Asked by Feb 02, 2018 at 11:21 PM about the 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why does my rear drum brakes lock up when
hitting bumps or uneven roads when going 40 or
more miles per hour

the springs and hardware are probably worn out/missing

Lining loose from the shoe , Take the drum off and LOOK

The only way to be sure is to remove the drums and visually inspect them. Any and all of the above could possibly wrong. None of us has a crystal ball. lol
