88 F-150 Fuel problem

Asked by joker47885 Dec 22, 2016 at 05:33 PM about the 1988 Ford F-150 XL Standard Cab 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 88 F-150 with one tank 5.0 EFI. I have Fuel going to injectors and
good pressure. But when I try to start it all it does is crank. I can spray some
starting fluid and start for a sec. I have changed fuel filter and spark plugs and
wires. I don't have all the exhaust hooked up but it done it before i took that all
apart.

Could be clogged injectors since the engine starts and runs with starting fluid. If the pressure is correct and within specs at the rail you can eliminate the pump. Could be a signal problem getting to the injectors to fire. A process of elimination.
