1985 Ford 150. It runs for a few minutes. It then quits. It sounds like fuel starvation. The tanks are full. The clear fuel filter before the mechanical fuel pumps looks empty when truck dies.

I've also changed fuel pump and
carburetor filter.

Should I check the pressure between the mechanical pump and the carb? It has one solid metal fuel line there. I wouldn't want to cut that line.

Has anyone heard of the fuel tank selector device failing before? I could see it getting stuck on one tank, but stopping all fuel seem kinda odd.
