i lost my running lights on my 1985 ford f150 ford.

I made a wood bed for my truck and when installing rear lights a wire to the lights hit metal on accident and now I lost my running light and brake lights. I check fuses and replaced the headlamp switch and still not lights. my turn signals and headlamps work. I checked a schematic and found a brown wire that goes to the lights but cant find a fusible link. any ideas?

On most vehicles power to the tail lights is supplied to one side and a jumper is used to power the other side. Check for current to the socket on the side supplied. Move backward toward the engine and check right before the damaged portion and right after. Sounds like you may have a broken ground wire.

There are 2 different fuses, 1 for tail tail lights and anotherone for headlights. Check the fuses again one at a time
