Dealership Replaced Timing Chain and now my car won't start.

Asked by Rebecca Aug 19, 2015 at 06:17 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had my timing chain replaced last week and today when I went to leave for work my
car would not start. Got someone to jump me and was able to get to work. Now 7
hours later, I went to leave from work and the car won't start again. Since I got the car
back I have noticed a sulphur smell, it takes a minute to start it and my AC was only
blowing on my feet. When I took it back to the dealership friday they said they
rebooted the computer and the ac is now working but attributed everything else to a
wearing starter. MY STARTER WAS FINE AS WAS MY AC AND EVERYTHING ELSE
ON THE VEHICLE WHEN I TOOK IT IN. What could be going on?

I will suspect your battery is bad. Acids from the battery can spill and create the sulfur smell (rotten eggs) because of Sulfuric Acid contained inside the battery. Check the battery.
