1930 Model A Ford Four Door Town Sedan seat adjustment

Asked by Eltiger Jul 07, 2013 at 10:31 PM about the 1930 Ford Model A Coupe

Question type: General

We have a 1930 Model A sedan and the front seat is so close to the steering wheel and  even when it is adjusted as far back as possible, it still makes it impossible be for a large person to use the pedals.

Might have to relocate the seat mounting holes / aka drill new holes for the seat to attach to the floor.

people were smaller 80 years ago, food shortage remember! and if your going farther than a parade, remember safety when dealing with seat adjustments and belt anchors!

jimmy has a good point- if you don't have lap belts in your "A" then you want to drill some holes in the floor anyway- drill some seat anchor holes, and reinforce everything while you're at it- check out a Model T/A forum- ask around to see what other A owners have done- it's not a Duesenberg so a coupla small holes won't alter the value in any way- but your safety will be increased 100%
