Jaguar negative Equity

Asked by jeff Jun 21, 2018 at 11:16 AM about the 2013 Jaguar XF XF 3.0 AWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

Please help! I have a 13 Jaguar XF and did not roll any negative equity into
when I purchased 2 years ago. I do NOT have GAP insurance which scares me
because I owe $27000 and the car is only worth $17000 :(
I have tried to trade it in for a lease with many many dealers and most won't
even touch it because of the negative equity. One Jeep dealer would do a 60
month lease $2500 down with a monthly payment of $590ish. Thats what I pay
now for my Jag. Should I just keep the jag or do the lease?????

I did find out the hard way. I am in shock how bad they depreciate.I don't mind the car. Just pains me to pay so much for such a depreciating asset? Plus after March of next year I have no warranty. So yes I have 2500 to spend and not 10k to pay off the car correct.
