2013 Honda Civic Cylinder Head Cracked

Asked by JHL Mar 02, 2016 at 06:23 PM about the 2013 Honda Civic EX-L with Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

55,000 miles, all services done at the Honda dealership and the cylinder head
cracked. I believe this is a engine defect. I've requested the engine to be
replaced with no success. The dealership changed only the cylinder head.
What should I do?

There should be no problem with just the cylinder head being replaced. It is a separate component to the engine, and the mileage on the engine is low enough to have a fresh head on it.

Contact customer service at American Honda and see if they will work with you. I've never heard of a head cracking except on the early accords.
