I want to put 235/65/17 tires on my 2013 RAV4 LE. Would this fitment work without any modifications?

Question type: Car Customization

My 2013 RAV4 LE currently has 225/65/17 tires. I want a wider setup and tires that are A/T. Was wondering if 235/65/17 setup would change the miles or the odometer too much and if the fitment would be feasible without any modifications.

I wouldn't recommend changing the fitment size because the late model RAV4's have a touchy all wheel drive system, you wont so much have problems with odometer speed or the change of miles but in the long run you could possibly have transfer case problems affecting the all wheel drive system. Hope this helps!

I Been working for Toyota at the Toyota plant in Ontario Canada. Do not change the tire size on a 2018. They are not skinny, they are perfect. any model 2012 or earlier that is 2WD is fine to change the tire width slightly bigger. 235 instead of 225. It is true though that if you have 4WD (AWD) and it is a newer model 2012+ ONLY go with factory spec.
