I am needing new transmission and am only a few months out of warranty and
VW is quoting $5800.. needing a goodwill transmission but its so hard to find,
any suggestions on where to find one? Its a 2013 VW Jetta Hybrid

Go to an independent transmission shop and see what they would charge to rebuild yours.

I guess you are stuck unless you can contact VW directly and beg for help.
