Why does the amp gauge go to zero, the dash lights goes out and it stalls when I'm low on break fluid and the peddle goes to the floor?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1984 Lebaron convertible Mark Cross edition.  When the break
peddle goes to the floor the car stalls. It has fluid and It may need bleeding
but the confusing part is that the amp gauge goes to zero, the dash lights
goes out and it stalls.

Sounds like you have a bad brake booster or a cracked or broken vacuum hose going to brake booster. The brake booster uses vacuum from the engine that is why vehicle shuts down when brakes are applied. Also could be a bad vacuum check valve going to brake booster.
