Car turns on but won't start or turn over.

I have a 2003 Ford Focus ZTW 2.0 liter. Replaced Steering Column, car turns on but wont
start or turn over. Also found a PCM diode outside shell melted but intact inside.

Did you get a used steering column? If so did it come with a key? I ask this because there is a chip in the key thats part of the anti theft system. Maybe that's why it won't start.

Yep got a used one and the key was in their. Took key to Ace and checked it their. Chip is working.

I'm thinking that the code in the key and the required code in the ECU are different, there for it thinks it's being stolen. Is there any way you can switch ignitions?

we took out the magnetic reader and switched it to the old one. However can't use the same ignition switch it had completely seized up and couldn't turn it.

Hummm. Dbl check the installation. Sounds like you're done everything right so it's probably something simple.
