What other car model's parts can I use as interchangeable parts for a 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature?

Asked by ltc1988 Jan 23, 2013 at 01:22 PM about the 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In respect to the heater core, heater core box, blend door module, etc for my 1988 Lincoln Town Car. If
the respective part is obsolete, can I get a new part from a newer Town Car model or even let's say a
Grand Marquis or a Crown Victoria? If so what is the range of years that can offer me the interchangeable
parts?

1990 was the first year of the second generation. I know that does not answer you, let me look in to it..and there was a major restyling in 1988.
