sporadic misfires at 3000 RPM 70 MPH

Hi!  Car is mint 33K miles and all great /timing/idle/acceleration..etc etc
car is used lightly every week.   however when I drive it on highway at high speed  - it intermittently misfires/looses rpm power and recovers after a second or two.  drove 100 miles at 70mph /3000 rpm and had it sporadically losing power / rpms and recovering after a second or two  at least 15 times. ...car is well maintained/new correct plugs,cables etc etc.   all advice is appreciatted

Check for vacuum leaks in the FI system. Make a smoke machine if needed. easy to make with parts from Home Depot. Get new hoses and clamps. Maybe you should clean all your ground connections too. VW Vortex guys have the exact locations in an FAQ
