My vinyl top flew off! Is it warranted in some way?

Asked by Mistycsaldana Feb 02, 2016 at 07:01 PM about the 1989 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe FWD

Question type: Car Customization

It wasn't installed by manufacturer correctly. I saw the problem yet I was
unaware of the severity and it almost caused an accident on a packed freeway.
That should not have happened considering there was no damage to it. Since it
is an 89 there is probably no one who would take responsibility for it being
faulty but I'd like to try. Any ideas are welcomed.

Moisture gets under them & rust seperates them too. It's expensive to replace them & vinyal iis not in "style" anymore. Strip it all off & remove the glue & rust with a wire brush or wheel. Treet the rusted areas with spray paint gray primer rust proof paint like Rustoliem. Paint one one using black or ? (your color choice) of pickup bed liner paint with a texture roller. Be sure to prep everything first & mask everything off with news paper.
