Overhead light - 87 Cadillac Deville

Asked by Dustin Sep 18, 2017 at 09:28 PM about the 1987 Cadillac DeVille Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,
I have a 1987 Cadillac Deville. I replaced the
overhead dome lights today but the lights did
not come on. I pulled the assembly off the roof
and looked around. There were no lose wires but
there were also no wires that connected the
assembly to the roof. Is this right?

they didn't have remote current in 1987 so the wires are their somewhere ,hiding in the headliner maybe;

It was the orange wire up in the headline. It was way in there but a little pulling and it came free! Everything is now working. Much appreciated.
