Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was going down hwy. My truck k
died. Had to get boost and I did
this several times before I got it to
town. Once I got to town I put a
fresh battery and a new altinator.
Problem solved ? Not quite...now
when I press on the gas the rpms
shoot up and once it gets so high
the truck squeels the tires and
takes off a little then reeats the
process until I shift it down to 1st
or 2nd. Might I remind you this is
an automatic transmission
What's wrong with my truck.
Could it be a sensor,??please help
