I have a 1989 Volvo 740 Turbocharged. When I get on the accelerator my Turbo gage does not register that the turbo has kicked in. In fact it has not kicked in, the car is just accelerating normally.

10% ethanol.

Possibly,the ethanol doe,s not burn as hot,try high some premium and a little octane booster,should let you know,if turbo is right or not.
