If there is a relay it could be bad. To replace the wire you find both ends and run a new one in between.

How about fuel pump relay?

First step here is to check the fuel system relay. Is it clicking on when you turn the key to crank? It is located behind the ash tray, under the radio. Have you tested to make sure you aren't getting power at the fuel pump?
