how do I adjust the shifting linkage on my 1988 Ford Festiva, it's sloppy loose.

The shifting lever is really loose.

Yeaaah.. they all get loose at some point. It is the washers/spacers where the linkage connects to the post near the trans. AdvancedDynamics? did a really good write up on upgrading that setup but you can find good info on www.fordfestiva.com
