Clicking noise from behind the Dashboard Console.

Asked by Hondapilot2013 Oct 21, 2014 at 07:36 PM about the 2013 Honda Pilot EX-L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 Honda Pilot has a clicking noise coming from behind the dashboard near the CD player.  The noise starts without the car being turned on or having the key in the ignition.  The noise will go for about 20 seconds then stop.  However if you use any function in the car that uses power, such as turning on a dome light, the clicking noise will start up again.  Is this possibly a bad relay?

It could be a relay but it also could be a blend door motor. If your Honda has under 36,000 miles it will still be under factory warranty.
