Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My hubby came home and told me the engine started to run hot. I did the
normal check. The fluids were fine. I just changed the thermostat today and
refilled with fresh fluids per my repair manual. But after putting it all back
together and going on a test run it was still running hot so now what do I
check.

Ok so after doing some research and talking to a repair shop that I trust. I found that the 3.0Lt engine water pump is known to wear out. The blade that would engage the pump to spin rusts overtime and just sits there and jingles. Once it got replaced it has run fine since.
