In over drive it sometimes does not want to engage in gear when shafting gear. What could be causing it to happen?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It is an automatic. Does not do it in drive. And was just doing it from time to time. But now

Another thing to check is the grommet that attaches the kick down cable to the throttle. Those dry rot and then your trans is toast. They sell an updated bushing made from brass instead of plastic.this will make it shift improperly
