I disconnected radio waited for a day. I reconnected radio and stilled display say code wait. What should I do?

Visit your local BMW dealer with your driver's license and the vehicle registration for proof of ownership. They can (hopefully) get the code by using your vehicle identification number. The vehicle is 18 years old so the information may no longer be on file. If that's the case a good radio repair shop should be able to unlock it for you. HTH. -Jim
