Cargo capacity volumn behind first row of seats

Asked by wch142 Apr 19, 2013 at 05:52 PM about the 2013 Toyota Highlander Plus FWD

Question type: General

How is it possible for the Highlanderr to publish 95 cu ft of cargo capacity behind the first row of seat when all similar size (length, width, and heighth) SUVs have far less.....Such as the Jeep Grand Charokee at 68 cu ft.  Seems like the different manufacturers are measuring different things.

Very well could be. manufactures always try to find new ways to do/advertise things differently to look better there are always technicalities that can be abused.

Or perhaps one has less cargo room because the seats are further back making for more leg room? Hard to say.
