have 1988 ford bronco 2 2.9 it will run then after few miles will shut off then will start back up

changed the fuel filter  was bad and put cleaner in the tank but drove it about
10miles on the way back it shut off the few mins fired back up

Sounds like the ignition control module is overheating than when it cools down will start.

yes it will run fine for awhile then it will shudder and then stall and only takes about min will start back up run ok

not sure if it is and it only been happen when real hot out too and if u take the gas cap off it has press. blow gas fumes but has been doing this for awhile not sure why

The only way to be for sure is when the vehicle shuts off do the fuel pressure test right then it will at least confirm or eliminate if that is the problem.

We have an 82 f150 did that we finally replaced the ignition pickup under the D-cap. Fixed!

well its running better now then it quit but it did in good spot at the drive way of my mech. lol he told me dont start and he waked now check it out had no spark from coil to dis. and he pulled wire off coil and did something got it running said replace the coil did yesterday we will see oh it did have bad fuel pump had both replaced hope fixed it
