car starts smell of petrol but not using someone told me the choke is getting stuck

There is no choke on vehicles anymore. Your probably smelling vapors from the EVAP system. Do not be topping off your gas tank and the fuel will saturate the vapor canister filter. Stop pumping gas when the gas pump nozzle first clicks off.
