1986 Ford Bronco won't start unless I depress the gas pedal and then dies

Asked by Feb 26, 2017 at 05:22 PM about the 1986 Ford Bronco XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 86 Full size Bronco has a 5.7l efi engine
and it was running fine and then it started
slowing down running rough and
eventually died. I've recently changed the
fuel filters the secondary fuel pump and the
primary fuel pump was checked recently. I
cleaned the sensors and it ran fine prior
without vacuum hooked to my egr valve.
Now it only fires when I depress the gas
pedal and dies immediately. Please help!!

Could it be my map sensor? If I unplug it, it'll idle roughly....
