95 Dakota 3.9v6 how do you test the EGR system?

failed smog in Ca. NO[PPM] 15mph max 508 meas 611 25mph max 533 meas 699  exhaust & cat are good o2 sensor new what else can I check ?

have someone check the computer codes, not with a cheapy code reader, but with one that can read drive cycle monitors. it might get you closer to an answer.
