My 2009 Honda pilot Nav system has started to flash a message "See dealership, DVD read error".  Seems that Honda has been having issues with the systems.  It is a $1500.00 fix.  It was working fine and now this problem.  Anyone else having this problem?

The easy fix and free fix is to look under the drivers seat. There is a DVD player under there which controls the nav system what has happened is it has gotten hot and for some reason stopped reading the disk. Open the cover and remove the disk push the power button and give it a couple minutes to reset. Turn the power back on reinsert the disk and close the cover......you should be good for a pretty good while! Until it decides to do this again, and you now know the cheap fix.
