I havea 1996 Dodge Avenger with a 2.5L V6 24 valve engine can i upgade to a 3.0 v6. what kind would be best an how much?? Would I have to buy a new tranny too?

Dude...if you're gonna do ALL of that (swap out engines and trans)...I'd strongly suggest swapping out of the ENTIRE car. Do yourself a favor too, go for a non-Chrysler/Dodge car next time, they'll just nickel and dime the hell outta you and you'll make your local mechanic wealthy and very happy to see you.

Yo dude you don't have to swap out nothing all you have to do is give the car a good tune up and a cold air intake like a K&N , change the transmission fluid and make sure all your control arms and ball joints are up to date and good and your car should be running good. l know because I have one.
