Should I buy a 2013 Fiat 500 with 103,000 miles?
I am wanting to buy a Fiat 500.
The one I am looking at is a 2013 Fiat 500 Sport.
It has 103,000 miles on it.
He is asking $5000.
He is the original(and only) owner and he has never
had a problem with it. It has been garage kept and
looks like it is in great condition!
I looked up the VIN# and it has a manufacturer
recall for a clutch diaphragm spring.
Owner says that he has never had any problems!
He just retired and doesn't need it any more.
How reliable is a fiat that has over 100,000 miles
And should I be concerned about the recall?
Will I be able to get it fixed (covered by Fiat)?
I don't want to be blinded by the price.
But if its a good vehicle with lots of life still in it, I
would be thrilled with the price!
Contact Fiat and if they will cover the recall, you might consider the car. 100,000 miles isn't so much for a car any more. Fiats are prone to have problems, but if you like this model, this one is probably the best high mileage 500 you'll ever find. Even I might take the risk at this price.
I talked with Fiat and the said that they would 100% cover the recall! That gives me peace of mind! After doing some research, it looks like a lot of Fiats are making it past 150,000-200,000 + miles with no (major) problems!
