Seat stuck in forward position

My Volkswagen seat is pushed forward and
will not release to go back

The obvious would be to look to see if there was anything under the seat preventing it from moving like a water bottle. Is your seat manual or power?

13th Aug 2020, Our Volkswagen 2nd row passenger seat has locked in forward position and not moving back. We’ve tried everything - what now?
