do you have to remove the wheels to do a brake check?

Yes you maybe able to see the out side pad through some rims but the caliper has to be removed to check out the inside pad.

    I have a 2009 Mini Cooper base with 11700 miles. The check engine light came on with a p0014 code. I changed the cam sensors and vanos sensors. Cleared the code and it came right back
