Mini Cooper iPhone cable too short

I paid almost $100 for a cable to connect my iPhone to my 2013 Mini Cooper
S Convertible.  I want to be able to use my phone as a GPS while it is
connected but the cable is so short.  Can I get a longer cable and something
that will hold the phone on the dash?

I ended up getting a phone mount that fits in the cup holder. The mini cable is long enough to connect to the phone and with the phone mount in the passenger cup holder, it doesn’t block anything.
