Chrysler 300 key fob

Asked by Maloney256 Nov 25, 2016 at 01:17 AM about the 2013 Chrysler 300 S RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 chrysler 300s won't detect my keys. I have to use
the nose of the fob to start my car. If the car is running and
someone gets in or out then the car says the key has left
the vehicle even though the key is in the cup holder. If I lock
the doors the only way to unlock the car is with the  hidden
key in my key fob. Which will set off the alarm. If anyone
can help me that'll be great.

maloney256 did you ever get a solution to that problem. I am having the exact same problem with my Chrysler 300 key fob. It seems my car battery went dead. After replacing my car battery i have to use the nose of the key fob to start the car. I have put in a new battery in the key fob and it is giving me the same error message that key has left the vehicle. Cannot open the door with key fob i have to use the hidden key then of course the alarm goes off.

Hello, we had the same problem...dead keyfob battery, changed the battery, had the error "keyfob has left the vehicle "...we had the battery upside down in the keyfob. Changed that and we're good to go!!!
