Where is the power steering resivior on a 2013 corrola
It's a white plastic reservoir with the pump being driven by serpentine belt. But caution!!, there are several white plastic little tanks and reservoirs. It has a cap labeled 'USE ATF" and by 'caution' I mean don't get it confused with coolant overflow, Brake fluid, that are all white plastic. On passenger side...click for full screen
Now..the reason I did not label the white plastic one in back is I am not SURE that is what it is. Look at the cap. I have a 2006 Corolla and it's set up different. In this image of a 2013 I can't find the brake master cylinder, so if it says 'USE ATF" it's P/S. If it says "Use Genuine Toyota Brake fluid, DOT3" then it's the brakes. All in looking at cap
Your 8th Generation 1999 Corolla is one of..no..THE best car in it's class. It was the first full year they put the 1.8L 1ZZ FE in and is the perfect blend of power and economy. It is not a rocket. sure, but at 130 HP ...2400 lbs...& nearly 40mpg it's plenty peppy and will give you 300,000 or more--easy-- with good maintenance. The 9th Generation, 2003-2008 (even though 2000-2002 were technically 9th Generation) but 2003-08 are the best cars in that time frame..and to present for that matter. The 10th Generation..2009-13 was a step backwards..for reasons unknown the economy went down and Toyota removed some features and added FREDS...Frustrating Ridiculous Electronic Devices. Stuff that cost money and people don't need, Brake Assist for example...if you get too close to another car and use brakes...the car is supposedly smarter that we are and will add more brake..Lane Keep..if you drift it will steer you back in the lane. I refuse to have a car that turns the steering wheel without me doing it. That's not safety, that leads to driver complacency.."Oh..there's a car but I have Brake Assist so the car will take care of it...." Oh Lord The 2014 is even worse..the CVT transmission is a POS, they don't have cruise control even! No auto-dusk headlights either, and only the highest end LE Trim (not sure about S) have power windows. My 2006 uses no oil whatsoever, gets 38-40 highway and I would not trade it for a new one. All I have ever done is put struts and shocks on it, 4-wheel alignment and a serpentine belt..other than the usual tire rotations and oil changes. It's paid for and I intend to drive it until the wheels fall off.
