Hello everyone, I have 2013 BMW 528i xdrive, I am experiencing the same issue as most of BMW 5 series 2013 owners. I have been driving this car for about 2 years,, the second day of purchase used from dealership, the engine light went on and have taken the csr to dealership and fighting back and forth they finally repaired it. After a while car shaft went bad, then I had oil leaking, because the car was out of warranty and I had no extended warranty I repaired it in local mechanic shops. Then after a year and half I had engine light on this time I took it to bmw budds dealership in Ontario Canada, I have been told that I need to replace turbo charge and also thermostat it cost me $2000 ,right after about week I had wasted sound in the csr engine and drivetrain malfunction cane up, I experienced stalling lack of power and I have contacted the dealership several times they said it is normal. I was driving it for a while and one day on highway low oil pressure came up and I stoped and called my son to bring oil for me, the I drive it to home, I have taken the car to mechanic, there is a knocking sound from engine and he says I need a new engine, I have no warranty on it owe about 20k and didn't maintenance with BMW. What do you recommend to me! Thanks,

When dealing with a high end car like a BMW, Mercedes Benz, etc. a run of the mill gas station or chain type of shop can't successfully repair them. They have no idea of what they're looking at or trying to work on! So let this be a lesson learned! As far as the engine, see if you can get a good used one as a replacement. Then sell or trade in the vehicle. It sounds like a money pit. I've been down that road before. It's never ending. Just throwing good money after bad. Cut your losses and move on! Hope that helps! Jim
