98 Dodge Dakota either stalls or will just die

My truck will just die sometimes it will
stall.I've had it hooked up to diagnostic
machine and it shows no problems. I'm at a
loss. Can someone help.

When is the last time you did a complete tuneup, did you change the fuel filter, you may want to clean the throttle body...

I haven't changed the fuel filter. My mechanic said it might have trash in it. I think it is something else. It runs great in the am but in the afternoon when I leave work is when it starts giving me problems. It seems to be getting worse. Ive put fuel additives in it and it does great for a couple days they it starts messing up again
