what is resonable miles for a dealer to put on a car while it is in for service?
the dealer put 286 miles on my car when it was in for a software upgrade and the kept it for 7 days! the deal cannot explain who drove my car and where they drove it. i am very upset and they are just hoping i go away. anyone have some ideas of what i should ask for?
Assuming that you can prove the mileage when you brought it in - should be recorded on the service ticket. There is no reason for them to drive much more than around the block to check a software update. If you can prove the mileage difference - then call MBUSA. They really get concerned when a dealer mis-treats a customer or his vehicle.
I would have called the Mercedes corporation and put in a complaint. I heard that a dealership on Long Island the owner uses the cars to take vacation
