Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought this truck and they just installed a new alternator but then pcm burnt out with the asd pin still stuck in one of the grey connectors . should I just replace the wiring harness going to the pcm ?. I don't want it to happen to the new pcm i'm buying

You can't get the pin out of the connector? If not you could solder in a new connector. I'm pretty sure they make them.

I got the pin out of the connector but should I replace connector or can I reuse it with not problems with new pcm ?

If it's clean and tight you probably can but to answer your "Flashing" question .. No ,,, because flashing was only done on the old generators , not on an alternator Geez ,, that question brought back memories
