Car won’t start and key locked in ignition

Car doesn’t start..put a new battery in it
then started and lasted a day then died
again unable to start. This all started when
a friend jack up the car to check the where
a sound was coming from that sounded
like the control arm. After that everything
went bad.

sounds like their jacking point ruined a wire that is now draining your batt, the batt has a warranty they won't care why it's dead , try charging it , I wouldn't try a jump start on newer cars
