Engine Coolent Light Flashing and No Hot Air

Asked by Caper94 Dec 10, 2016 at 06:28 PM about the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So this morning I started my car, no hot air came
threw the vents. (I live in Northern Alberta, so lately
it has been -30C everyday, I do use a block heater)

Then the engine coolent light came on and started
flashing red. I tried to drive it to the mechanics. By
the time I got there every light was on (engine light,
service 4wd, and a bunch of other lights I didnt
even know existed).

They arent able to look at it till tomorrow, but
wondering what could possibly be wrong? Cause
im really worried, would like some ideas on what to
expect. Was fine until today.

I hope you did not kill your engine by driving it dry. Let it cool off and put coolant in it and hope for the best.

My guess is that you had something freeze and all the water ran out of the cooling system.

Man, if I lived in weather like that, I would try to get something better than a 21st Century Jeep-
