Could also be a TC problem or even computer problem. Is vehicle high-mileage? A lockup clutch can wear preventing vehicle from going into overdrive, no OD means higher RPMs. A tranny fluid check and possible flush/filter change may remedy this, or splurge and get a computer diagnostic on tranny, those run about $70, and will check operation of all solenoids.
Car shows high rpms when going 35 mph(4000 rpms). Was wondering if this is a transmission problem

checked radiator and it's full, however with ac switch in off, the clutch on compressor is on with compressor running. it is cold outside when testing.
