No start issue after installing new used engine

Asked by smhaag Feb 21, 2017 at 02:15 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

we replaced my engine with the exact same engine but out of a 2014 with 23k
miles on it and now we cannot get it to start.  I am wondering if changing the
engine out would set off the anti-theft system and it now allowing the vehicle
to start now

Thank you we will try this - because it makes no sense on why it won't just start up.

We tried this a couple of times and it did not work, but the question I have is were we suppoed to try to start it at the beginning of each cycle or just turn it to the ON position?
