Fuse?

Asked by hooter56 Jan 26, 2017 at 10:14 AM about the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Towed a small trailer last night, not the first time. Left side taillight goes out, rear
wiper stops functioning, and the gear indicator lights are out. Sounds like a
fuse, right? If so, the manual is of NO HELP. I checked #30 (rear wiper), it's
fine.  What's the deal?

It sounds like an electrical issue that may include an improperly grounded wire harness. A fuse would only effect one system, i.e. the tail lights.

Sounds like more than I want to tackle. I've tried finding automotive electrical issues in the past with little success.

It is one of the most time consuming and costly automotive repairs. If you have a reputable mechanic take it to them, otherwise the dealer, they cost more, but they will find the short, or ground more easily and quickly knowing the Chevy specific specs. Best of luck man!
