Price of Suburban

found a 2013 suburban LT with 8000 miles..leather, DVD, sunroof..dealership is asking
38900.00 Is this a good price and if so what could be some reason they are selling for
such a low price when its a new SUV with almost no miles?

8K miles is like driving from Los Angeles to New York City and back- then deciding to drive back to New York- that's a little farther than NO miles- and who was driving those miles? who knows? The practice drivers for the Paris to Dakar Rally? They are turning the vehicle back in after they are finished practicin' they don't care how many potholes they hit- BOOM! hahahahaha good time had by all- Now you can buy it for only 40 thousand dollars- Q. why not buy new?
I was hoping to find something under 45000 and let someone else help with the depreciation...I try never to buy new but dealerships are so shady ..I dont want to be upside down before I get started...to many other mouths to feed besides car payment and gas prices..lol

Common Sense Rule #1 - If the deal seems to good, then there's a reason why it's NOT good for you. That said everyone must remember they built more then 1 Chevy Suburban so you can pass on the deal at any time without worry of finding another. My question would be, "You mention many mouths to feed, high fuel prices and auto payments are a concern" so why do you "NEED" a Suburban ? My advice to you would be to first write down what it is you "NEED" to accomplish your "NEEDS" and then look back to see what other vehicle less costly, more fuel efficient, and one without leather you can truly say "I can AFFORD it", "I does fulfill my needs" "It will be easy for me to maintain" so it can last a long time saving me and my family money. Bit of advice - The best time to buy from any dealer is between Christmas and New Years day because they want the autos off their lot before January 1. During this time of year the buyer is the deal maker, not the dealership.
Answer to your question is that it may have been a lease vehicle. Or a rental. This has to by law explained to you. It also may be a reposed vehicle. There are many reasons a one year old vehicle may be turned back in so soon. I got a great discount of a used MBZ for my daughter that was used by the dealership owner's wife. She had it until the new model came out and then I got it for $20,000 below a new car price, and it had 9,000 miles on it. It was excellently maintained and still runs great.
